GEKA Educators Start Out Strong

GEKA are committed in investing in the professional development of all education and office teams. This is particularly important at the beginning of a new year so that shared goals and clear expectations can be determined as a community.

On Tuesday 29 January, the whole GEKA community came together at the GEKA offices in Bentleigh East for day one of the 2019 year.

The GEKA CEO provided an overview of the 2018 Staff Satisfaction Survey and initiated robust discussions on how we can strengthen our position as an employer of choice. The facilities and compliance coordinator also presented around the benefits of assessing of risk with all members of the community. The GEKA educators also received training on new Information Technology to enhance efficient communications.

The day finished with an afternoon of outdoor adventure and team building thanks to Corporate Challenge. The GEKA Bentleigh Kindergarten team took out the trophy for being the most resourceful and creative thinking team on the day, with GEKA Glover Street Kindergarten coming a very close second.

Overall, an enjoyable and productive day that set a positive tone for the year ahead.
